  • Work Experience: You should have at least five years of experience in your field.
  • Employment Contract or Job Offer: You should present either a work contract or a binding job offer for at least one year.
  • Salary threshold: You should meet the salary threshold.

The benefit a Blue Card gives you is that after 33 months you are granted permanent residency. This may shorten to 21 months if you can prove that you speak German to B1 level.
