Federal Skilled Worker Immigration Program 2019

Federal Skilled Worker Immigration Program 2019When it comes to immigrating to Canada permanently, Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is the program you should apply for. This Canadian visa is a PR visa. Applicants are evaluated based on their qualification, skills, knowledge of French and/or English, age and work experience.

Applications for the FSWP are managed via Express Entry – so an Express Entry profile will need to be created as the first step. An applicant needs to meet the requirements of the FSWP and also the threshold of Express entry, in order to be given an Invitation to Apply (ITA). The immigrants are selected based on the points system and their ability to succeed economically in Canada.

IRCC determines candidates’ eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program based on its unique points grid. However, only the highest-ranked candidates in the Express Entry pool are issued invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

When it comes to processing time, IRCC aims to process a complete Federal Skilled Worker application in six (6) months or less. The applicant must attain a minimum pass mark of 67.
